John Crowther

Los Angeles, CA - United States

John Crowther has juggled multiple careers as artist, writer, director, actor and teacher his entire life. His work as a cartoonist has appeared in MAD magazine as well as being a regular feature of various Internet websites. A book of his collected cartoons, 'Out Of Order,' is now available. He is also the illustrator of the children's book 'How the Waif Bunny Saved the Boy.' John made his Broadway acting debut in 1962 in 'Something About a Soldier' starring Sal Mineo, and was seen frequently in films and TV before turning to directing and screenwriting. In recent years he appeared off-Broadway in the one-man play 'Einstein: A Stage Portrait' and has toured the country as Frank Lloyd Wright in his one-man play 'Meet Mr. Wright.' Throughout his life he has simultaneously dedicated himself to his art. His paintings are in numerous collections in the U.S. and in Europe.

As much as possible, John splits his time between Los Angeles and Italy.

Away from the arts, John is passionately involved in coaching lacrosse at the youth and high school level in Los Angeles.
